  • Antoinette Wysocki's work is distinguished by its rich variety of textures and intricate details, achieved through her masterful use of diverse materials and techniques. She skillfully incorporates ink, glitter, and acrylic, each medium contributing its own unique quality to the composition. Her process involves playing with positive and negative space, letting gravity guide dripping paint, and carving into surfaces to add depth. By using an array of brushes and tools, she creates a dynamic interplay of textures—some areas bold and tactile, others soft and ethereal. This layered approach draws the viewer in, revealing new details upon closer inspection, and reflecting her exploration of both chaos and control within her art.

  • During an artist residency in China, Wysocki immersed herself in the country’s rich cultural heritage, which left a lasting impact on her artistic practice. Elements of traditional Chinese motifs, from the fluidity of ink brush, to little paper lanterns, and techniques to the symbolic use of nature, subtly emerge in her new works. These influences blend seamlessly with her contemporary abstract style, creating a dynamic fusion of East and West that adds a new layer of meaning to her exploration.
