    BLANK SPACE is proud to announce an exhibition of works of the NYC-based American painter Matthew Langley. As Langley has developed his style and practice, opposite approaches have organically become a primary theme. His images have no beginnings and no ends, yet they are readable, understandable works. Perimeters seeks to develop the odd harmony that this might suggest, and Langley creates in abstraction without the constraint of any particular, desired conclusion.

  • Near pristine forms made from very human brushstrokes allow the artist to move between those physical and conceptual constructs; thoughtful improvisation becomes the system of his work. When freed from stricture and planned conformities, our most satisfying resolutions come naturally. This exhibition will be on view in our online viewing room from 3/31 - 5/05/2022.
